This exhibition is an excerpt of a larger collection of images by six photographers from Lishui City in China’s southwestern mountain region, the Zhejiang Province. Land – Era – People brings glimpses from each of the artists’ sight-lines of daily life as it is lived, noticed, preserved, and honored amidst a country of rapid expansion and urbanization. The cultural patterns give way, ultimately, to reflect human moments and a respect for the worlds presented in each.
